specialized s works helm mtb Specialized S-Works Prevail 3, White SThe S Works Prevail 3 helmet is built for riders who prioritize superior ventilation and comfort in hot conditions, challenging climbs, and mountainous terrain. This makes it the most ventilated helmet Specialized has ever produced.

The S-Works Prevail 3 helmet is built for riders who prioritize superior ventilation and comfort in hot conditions, challenging climbs, and mountainous terrain. Redefining what's possible in helmet ventilation, Specialized eliminated air-blocking foam "bridges" from the center, creating thru-air channels that increase ventilating surface area by 24.5% compared to the Prevail II. This makes it the most ventilated helmet Specialized has ever produced.

The groundbreaking AirCage technology represents a fundamental shift in helmet design. Rather than relying solely on foam for energy management, woven aramid cables traverse the helmet and anchor to carbon fiber side panels. Upon impact, this system works like a suspension bridge, designed to distribute localized forces throughout the helmet structure for improved energy management.

The Occipital Base Adjustment optimizes comfort by personalizing fit to individual head shapes, with adjustable helmet angle for compatibility with glasses. An adjustable Tri-Fix web system provides added comfort with updated, thinner 10mm webbing that minimizes strap noise during rides.

The ultralight Mindset micro-dial fit system with height adjustability has been updated for improved grip and easier on-the-go adjustments. Specialized's ultralight MIPS Node Air technology integrates directly into the helmet padding with a sleek low-friction layer designed to dissipate rotational forces. Proprietary development added perforations to maximize breathability, performance, comfort, and weight savings while maintaining protection.

Key Features:

  • AirCage Technology - Woven aramid cables and carbon fiber panels distribute impact forces like a suspension bridge for advanced energy management
  • Maximum Ventilation Design - 24.5% more ventilating surface area than predecessor with eliminated foam bridges for superior airflow
  • MIPS Node Air Integration - Perforated low-friction layer built into padding dissipates rotational forces while maximizing breathability and weight savings

My last Timex and why.
Color: Black/Gray/Digital, Color: Black/Gray/Digital
New edit. Upon further reflection, I’ve only had, a couple of exploratory years with Swatch excepted, Timex watches. My first one was when my mother replaced the Chicita Banana “tickity tock” sticker with a real Timex wind up watch before my first Cub Scout camp. In addition to many other Timex products, I’ve had these Ironman watches for the past 25+years. Usually the band wears out and can’t be replaced after three or four years. This particular watch fell apart less than six weeks old. It wasn’t hit by impact. It just came apart while I was driving down the road. I wonder if they’ve changed their manufacturing process. See photo for details. What is truly infuriating is that rather than replacing it, because it is truly a warranty issue, the told me to ship it to their offshore repair facility (which could take 3-5 months) and pay what might be half the value of the watch. Things happen, but the intentional friction they have created to avoid their obligations borders on malpractice and speaks to their indifference toward customer experience and subsequent lifetime value.

As expected
Color: Gray/Gray/Digital
Just an old school digital timex. Tried and true. Has both 12hr and 24hr function on the time setting. Has a standard stop watch and timer. The battery is great, just as it always is on a timex. Good water resistance and very easy to use. Overall very good watch for the price!

Can’t read numbers
Color: Gray/Gray/Digital
Numbers are too small to tread on a 44mm watch
